Etsy Transaction Fee Calculator

Etsy's transaction fee is one part of the total fee stack. It applies to the order amount, while payment processing, listing fees, and optional Offsite Ads are separate costs that also affect your final profit.

Open the transaction fee scenario

Example: A $30 item plus $5 shipping creates a $35 order amount.

At a 6.5% transaction fee estimate, that part of the fee stack is $2.28 before listing fee, payment processing, Offsite Ads, and POD costs.

Transaction fee formula

Why shipping matters

Buyer-paid shipping is still part of the fee calculation. If you charge $5 shipping, the transaction fee estimate is calculated on the item price plus that shipping amount, not on the item price alone.

What this page does not include by itself

A transaction fee estimate is not the same as profit. To estimate profit, include Etsy Payments processing, listing renewal behavior, POD production cost, fulfillment shipping, discounts, and ad spend.
